How do I start a game?

Tap any place on the map. Its card pops up with a one-line hint; tap LARO to play. Every place has a short round, and the X in the corner takes you back to the map at any time.

What are the stars?

Each place gives up to three stars per round: one for finishing, two for getting half right, three for getting most right. The map keeps your best at every place, and the pill at the top counts them against the goal of 30. A new best gets a BAGONG BEST! cheer.

I don't hear the voice or the sounds.

Check the mute switch and the volume, then the speaker button on the map, which turns all sound on and off. The spoken words are audio clips bundled with the app, so no connection is needed.

Where is the word collection?

Tap the person button on the map, then SALITAAN. Every word your child has met is there with its picture, its syllables and its sound. Tap a word to hear it again.

How does the daily riddle reminder work?

On the profile, turn on the reminder and allow notifications when iOS asks. At 5 PM each day a notification carries that day's bugtong. Turn the switch off to stop it. Everything is scheduled on the device.

Can the menus be in English?

Yes. On the profile, under WIKA, switch between Tagalog and English. The words in the games stay Tagalog either way.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes, in portrait, with wider scenes drawn for the bigger screen.

When do ads appear?

Only between rounds, never during play, and never in the first two minutes of a session. Every ad request is flagged as child-directed, so the ads are never personalized and the app never asks to track your child.

What is Buong Barangay?

One purchase that turns the ads off for good. It is not a subscription and it does not buy stars or games: every game is already free. It costs ₱149 in the Philippines and US $3.99 in most other places; the exact price shows in the app before you buy.

How do I buy it?

Tap the person button on the map, then BUONG BARANGAY. A parental gate asks you to hold a button for a few seconds, then Apple's purchase sheet appears. The purchase follows your Apple ID and, with Family Sharing on, every child in your family group gets it too.

I bought it but still see ads.

Open the same screen and tap Restore purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the Apple ID that bought it, or to a member of that Family Sharing group. If it still shows ads, email us.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
